Daniel Lehenbauer has updated his 3D Tools workspace targeting the December CTP. The tool features a model viewer with sample scene lighting (Headlight and Ambient Light). To build the solution you will need the December 2005 CTP release of WinFX and the Windows SDK.

ZAM 3D: A 3D XAML Modeling Tool

Electric Rain has released a Community Technology Preview (CTP) build of their 3D XAML designer called ZAM 3D. This application allows you to create and animate 3D models. The applications supports the import of Encapsulated Postscript Files (.eps), Adobe Illustrator (.ai), and Autocad files (.dxf, .dxb).

Sharp Vector Graphics (SVG#)

This is a special build of the SharpVectorGraphics project, which can be used to convert most SVG to XAML. It requires the PDC version of Longhorn, and the Windows Client Print Driver needs to be installed to generate the XAML (by using the print function of SharpVectors).

"XAML" is based on Extensible Markup Language (XML) and enables developers to specify a hierarchy of objects with a set of properties and logic.
