It is important to note that the WPF component in this release has not changed significantly from the December 2005 CTP. As a result, any code authored using the December CTP should be compatible with this release. As with the December CTP, it is also possible to install the January 2006 CTP of WinFX on Windows Vista.

For more information on why Microsoft has chosen to release Go-Live licences for Windows Communication Foundation ("Indigo") and Windows Workflow Foundation but not Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), Erik Cohen, Program Manager for Windows Presentation Foundation, has posted a few notes regarding the decision.
